When I first laid a look on IM Creator, the first thought was “yet another wysiwyg code emulator”. The kind that promises “the impossible” which most of us identify with coding. And at least so far, all wysiwyg type of software have eventually led me to the great wall of code, which was the point when I was starting to look for something else.
Internet became way too big a turf to be limited to the webmasters’ league, and without a more fluent language its expansion would stagnate. To put it plainly, IM Creator is the first serious attempt in this direction of the new era of web design. Why? It is a wysiwyg type of software, after all. Indeed, but it does not involve coding. Not one bit. The other ace up its sleeve is that unlike the previous similar humble attempts, this one is quite thorough.

Once on their website you can start immediately. No need to register, only to choose your template. The options include restaurants/bars templates, as well as templates for freelancers, real estate agents, photographers, musicians and many more. Once that is chosen, the user is taken to the next customizing screen where he can choose the background type and colour, widgets, sidebar elements, text formats, media buttons, links and the like. Any element such as text, picture, video, gallery, slideshow, can be spontaneously added from the upper menu with a simple click. All elements placed on the sheet, which is the site itself, can be interacted with and adjusting size is just as simple as dragging the boxes.

If that doesn’t drive the cold feet out of novices who are still scared of words like “web design”, there is actually a support team made of professional designers and programmers who are available on an e-mail support service and respond in maximum 12 hours.
